Hello, World!

Hello, and welcome!  I'm finally relaunching this, the Ordered and Organized blog.


My focus this time around will be listing resources and gathering tips to help you get your home and your life completely ordered and organized.

In this blog's previous life, I set a goal to update it daily, and I failed at that goal more often than not.  Let's be honest:  Although we try to make daily progress--sometimes whatever we can accomplish in a 10 or 15 minute timer a day--when we are trying to organize our lives, the progress visible to others isn't noticeable on a day-by-day basis.  It's more like losing weight:  After a while of putting in the work, the results become noticeable.  So after much thought, I've decided to update this site at least monthly at least for the first year of the relaunch.

That said, at least for a while, most of what I will post in the near future will be printables I have designed.  None of these will be fillable at this time.  I also won't be charging for these at this time--although I'm thinking of offering a yearly subscription to fillable printables for an incredibly minimal fee in the future--so download away for now.  To compensate me for my time, though, I'd love it if you'd spread the word about these printables to other folks you think would benefit.  (Don't spam folks, though.)  You can share the link by clicking on the symbol that looks like this image at the top or bottom of this post.  Please don't send the download link to anyone; send the link to this blog page.

Social media for the blog remains deactivated because I want to focus on the blog itself for now.  I don't have any current plans to restart the Facebook group or Facebook Live videos, so I deleted all the group members for now.  I also deleted the newsletter account because I decided that, given the GDPR requirements laid down in the last two years, I wanted to start fresh.  I won't be relaunching that newsletter anytime soon--maybe in June 2020.

My goal with this blog is to develop another community built around total life organization while helping others who have been in the total disorganization I once found myself in.  To be honest, my other goal is to monetize this blog a bit, initially enough to pay for the costs of web hosting and domain registration so that these amounts do not have to be deducted from my home budget.  My goal for this year is just $14.00, the cost for the orderedandorganized.com domain name.  If I am able to earn an additional $110.00 before June 01, 2020, this domain will move away from Blogger and to its own web host.
